Hey all sifus, currently I am using stock cooler for my Ryzen 5 2600 and it's temperature is quite high. Idle = 50 - 60° Gaming = 60 - 70+° I have done some research saying the temperature consider normal but I would like to buy a new cooler to let it chill abit. Budget around RM200. My spec: CPU : Ryzen 5 2600 Mobo : MSI B450M RAM : 16gb 2666 PSU : Cooler Master Elite V3 500W SDD : 1x Samsung 850 120gb / PNY CS900 200gb GPU : Zotac gtx1060 6gb Thanks in advance

Go for Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B at RM199 if you think less temp makes you feel better.

my advice get rm200 casing with more exhaust fans. its pointless trying to get lower cpu temp, its not easy to achieve with only cpu fans. if achievable by only a better cpu fans, AMD might have shipped with better fans and default overlocked higher speed to sell higher price

Budgeted: Scythe Mugen 5 or Cooler Master Hyper 212
How about casing? PSU top mount or bottom mount. Casing fans sufficient? Suggest get 2 front fans + 1 rear fan + 1 top fan right above CPU cooler.

Need to know your overall setup, casing and fan placement. Better cooler won't help if your air intake is insufficient in the first place.

A cooler master hyper 212 for around rm100 or a scythe mugen 5 for around rm200 would be good for a ryzen 5 2600

QUOTE(cherlynn @ Jun 10 2020, 04:11 PM) Which one would you recommend bro? Is it the higher price one better Yes Its has 6 heatpipes and bigger compared to 4 on the hyper 212 which will result in lower temperatures its cooling perfomance is comparable to a 240mm AIO but both is sufficient to cool a 2600 This post has been edited by bigmac999: Jun 10 2020, 04:18 PM

Nothing wrong with 70°C on R5 2600 with stock heatsink If it's 80°C then you can start worrying
But I wouldn't advise against using a better heatsink either as that's still better than nothing

rm200 = mugen 5 rev
rm100+- = deepcool gammax 400 or gte if got extra.
hyper 212 is not worth the rm100 for the performance, its not even an EVO.
im using thermalright as120 plus (but using 1 fan coz its enuff), performance can on par with noctua u12s for mr130+- kek (this is coz u12s fan is crap, their heatsink is ok)

But you can buy a 12cm tower cooler like ID Cooling SE-224 XT or Deepcool Gammaxx 400, less than RM100, the max temp will be around 70C also. I would use the Rm200 to get a bigger SSD lol

For RM200 you can consider Scythe FUMA2.
Comparable cooling and noise lower than Noctua D15 at half the price.
