Shortly after Hotlink introduced its Prepaid Unlimited offering, Celcom is now introducing its “Truly Unlimited Prepaid” that’s priced from RM12. Similar to Hotlink and U Mobile GX30, the speeds are capped at 3Mbps.

The new Xpax unlimited passes come in two options – weekly and monthly. The monthly unlimited pass costs RM35 and it has 3GB of hotspot data. Meanwhile, the weekly unlimited pass costs RM12 and it comes with 1GB of hotspot data. Similar to Hotlink, the passes also come with unlimited calls to all network.

The hotspot data is also speed capped at 3Mbps. If you need more, you can purchase extra hotspot quota at RM1 for 1GB which is valid for 1 day or RM3 for 5GB that’s valid for 3 days.

If you need faster speeds with no speed cap, you can purchase the Ultra Hour pass which costs RM1 per hour or RM2 for 3 hours (Promo: 6 hours). It is also available at RM5 for 12 hours and RM8 for 24 hours. Do note that Ultra Hour passes isn’t applicable for hotspot usage.

It also says Celcom’s Fair Usage Policy applies but there’s no mention of any hard cap or quota limit before your speed gets throttled. The T&C only mentions throttle speed of 64kbps for those that fully utilised their quota and P2P traffic is also throttled to 64kbps.

DiGi has been selling the RM1 for unlimited 3Mbps connection for quite some already to a limited number of their long time customers.

Interesting to see if they'll now extend it to all their prepaid customers or update it to match's Hotlink's and Umobile's 6Mbps.

Digi's plan is a little bit complex with time based data allowance valid on certain hours of the day, data for music, data for video, all-in-data, free loyalty data..

they should probably simplify it.

The RM1 was a special plan with unlimited daily allowance with renewal. If you allowed it to auto renew daily it would cost just RM30 monthly and you can top it up with other high speed offers such as 10GB midnight/morning offers on demand.

They can't go too much out to open up this sort of plan to every DiGi user because they know their Infinite plan sales will take a serious hit and soon one by one their subscribers will either downgrade or port out.

It doesn't look like Digi is offering this to newcomers who joined Digi from the latter half of 2019.

They might extend now to all Prepaid users after Hotlink and Celcom already made their move.

Also it would be great if they start selling monthly unlimited call bundle on top of this to level the playing field.

DiGi's on demand daily off peak midnight/early morning RM2 for 10GB already a best seller for those during MCO without fixed line at home.

This sort of on demand plans are very convenient as it allows you to subscribe when you desperately need them instead of buying a specific bundle for the entire month or week periods.
