As introduced by government last week, stamp duty exemption will be provided for the house priced between 300k to 2.5mil.
So I would like to know if I buy a sub sales 2nd hand house in RM 600k, how much I would save on stamp duty fee exemption?
As there are a lot of fee charged by lawyer firm such as legal fee, transfer fee, variance of stamp duty...etc
I am a bit confused on this. Any sifu can advice?
Also how will the exemption of RPGT affect the sub sales house pricing?

Thanks

Hi i believe under HOC campaign, sub sales was not covered but only cover Developer unit in this case.

RGPT exemption potentially to obtain more discount from the buyers as they are not require to pay any taxes on the gain of disposal, however this might be really subject to case by case basis.

I thought all the while for most developer units the stamp duty and legal fee are already exempted or absorbed by developer already ?

It depend on the developer but like you mention most of the time legal fee developer do cover.

There are two element under HOC:

1. MOT
2. Loan Stamp duty

I do know quite alot of developer sometimes does covered into loan stamp duty also but MOT was hardly covered by developer

If you are referring to Loan stamp duty, as long you are taking a loan to purchase a property then you do subject to Loan Stamp Duty, unless cash buy.

Yes. I am also asking this. Is sub sales still subjected to stamp duty? The announcement not explicitly say HOC project only.
