Questions: My touchpad are un-clickable on the red areas(no click sound responding when you press), green zone are still clickable(respondable) when you click the touchpad. It also quite tough to use two finger to select and drag the text currently,

Would it be
1.Battery bloated?
2. Dust caused?
3. Machine sudah tua, tak boleh guna lagi, need parts replacement?

Please advise.
Thanks.

If it is hard, stiff, apply more strength before you get a click. It is most likely due to swollen battery. FYI there are only one physical click button at where you marked green. Clicking too far at the edge might not register the click. If it is not due to swollen battery, a service and adjustment to the trackpad mechanism will usually solve the issue.

I will not wait if there is a swollen battery inside the unit.

My previous experience are 3 sides(left, middle, right) of them having same click feedback, it had become 'clickable' on the middle during MCO.
not sure it's battery issue, but it could possible also as already 7years 365 days usage.

where to get geniuene battery pack for MBP?
I bought speaker part from Lazada half year ago it was a disaster quality.
totally waste of time DIY fixing itself and waste the money too

There are no more original battery and most part for this model as this model is already vintage and obsolete. Many seller/ repair shop would simply say their parts as original new, which they hope you never find out.

I have the same model and same problem like yours. Repaired at Switch last year around August due to bloated battery. Costs me around RM1200. Now running like new

Ah...so it's bloated battery issue. Thanks for the input. Did you repaired the touchpad or only the battery?

Other parts including the touchpad were still good as the battery bloated just a little. Hence, the technician asked me to just replace the battery which comes together with a new pair of speakers.

So the trackpad issue are also from the bloated battery.
Replace the battery, the trackpad are fixed.
