It's understandable the app need GPS to track you in case you're infected.

i dont trust GPS apps, why not use bluetooth like how Singapore (?) is doing, and i think some local apps also using bluetooth. dah la gps drain battery

Go to app info. Turn off all permissions. You can leave camera permission on if you want to use the check in function.
