Hello all
All help/suggestions are welcome, I know its an ancient camera.
Problem: When I turn on the camera, the image is black with some buzz lines, its like when the tv station got no transmission but u go to that channel.

Any ideas anyone? I suspect the digital processor is gone. But it can still display on the lcd the contents of the memory card.

maybe ur sensor gone or the lense have prob. try send to canon and ask them to check for u lor... is there any error message in the lcd? last time my ixus V showed black screen only, send to service center they said the lens got prob. spent sgd200+ to fix it... (tat was many many years ago)

thanks bro. but many times sent to canon cannot fix or bloody expensive like 5-600. might as well get new camera.

U can try send to mutiara complex at jalan ipoh. there is a camera service shop beside digicolour photography shop. the boss's name is albert, i think he can check for u and quote u a cheaper price. He serviced my panasonic videocam for half price cheaper than quoted by panasonic. i'll pm his hp no. to u.
