Hi, my daughter wearing spec since 5 years old. Now she is 7 years old. Below
is her eye sight report when she was 5 yrs.

For Right eye
sph 1.25
cyt 1.25
axis 5
v/a 6/9

For Left eye
sph 2.50
cyt 1.50
Axis 165
V/a 6/12

since 2 years she no change her spec.
1) Is that possible her eye power to decrease in this 2 years? or increase
2) Next month is her birthday, she request nintendo as her birthday gift, does that gadget will worst her eye ?

-thanks-

Modern gadgets like TV/computers don't usually worsen one's vision since the radiation is very very insignificant unless you're staring at it at the distance your face can touch the screen. The cause of vision problems is the prolonged staring at a near object. I don't think vision problems can be reversed, you can only slow down the worsening of it.

Electronic gadgets such as this usually do emit blue light, and that do harm the eyes in the long run

Looking at things near your eyes like reading books cause myopia to develop.
Thats why countries where students study alot like Asia all children always wear glasses.

control their screen time is the best thing a parent can do. The way is simple, you need to show example to your kids by cutting down your gadget time and spend time play with them instead of letting them play by themselves.
