1 horsepower (hp) = 2,544.43 btu per hour (btu/h). Bear in mind that electricity prices in the Philippines are amongst the highest in Southeast Asia. Get a good brand for after sales & service for spare-parts.

QUOTE(XGuarden @ Jun 6 2020, 09:53 PM) That exactly what bothering me... 2,544,43 btu.... is so low... I found this recommandation in internet: 100 up to 150 5,000 150 up to 250 6,000 250 up to 300 7,000 300 up to 350 8,000 if we extrapolate, that mean that 2500 BTU is foor for a room of only 50 up to 100 4,000 0 up to 50 3,000 lol seem to mean that the room seem to be in negative size to be ok with a 1HP AC... Where did I get it wrong? I have been staying at various hotels in the Philippines during my trips there. Most of their rooms are either 1hp or 1.5hp only. Seldom do I come across more than that. Just use the hotel rooms size as a benchmark for your estimation how many horsepower you really need for your gf place.(Or you can consult their local installer). Good luck.
