How to watch program on TV without Astro/Antenna, by using internet?

Anyone here good with tv entertainment? Is the sometime like a tv-box that can watch online program channel that work like Astro?
By using internet and 1 time payment (as in buying the decoder, no monthly subscription) Currently using some cheapo Toshiba 40L5650VM Smart TV. There sometime call IPTV can it be done within the TV?
