Why on earth did ASUS go and block the intake and exhaust vents on the TUF A15? Ryzen 4000 CPUs are so much more competitive than Intel, but to ruin it like this along with the cheap ass screen? Which manager approved this kind of design? Already save cost on heatsink, only 3 heatpipes, but go block the vents, really smart Link to ReviewThis post has been edited by ghostcommand: Jun 5 2020, 09:32 PM

QUOTE(gigigigi99 @ Jun 5 2020, 10:38 PM) why RIP ? now the laptop cant use at all or what ? haha. other brand no use cheap ass 120 hz panel meh ? Can use still, but higher temperature and thermal throttle like crazy. Who the f*ck so stupid go block their own intake and exhaust vent? It's like going to your car and stuffing plastic bag around your engine intake and exhaust. You got watch the review or not? Other brand like Lenovo and MSI using more expensive screen even in budget laptop offering This post has been edited by ghostcommand: Jun 5 2020, 10:41 PM

Thermal throttle means the CPU/GPU are getting too hot they will reduce their own performance, because they reach their temperature limits. Why? Because Asus blocked their own intake/exhaust vents. Why you asking me this when you sell laptops for a living? haha In the Youtube review, he specifically mention the Lenovo y540, Acer Helios 300 as budget laptops and having better screens. I'm not sure u can find these models in Malaysia or not.

We are here simply to discuss laptops performance and design.

Regardless, I'd still say it performs like a champ. Waiting for JarrodsTech review on the 1660ti model. If it can beat the Helios 300 1660Ti from last year, even after those thermal issues mentioned then it should be a decent buy at 4500rm in my opinion. But yeah the screen having 20ms response time is very unfortunate. Color gamut is pretty much "average" I'd say when it comes to value gaming laptops. FYI: The Dell G5 SE gets even hotter with lower performance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0CNfjv2tgA&t=360shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSCRgvxjDwU...=youtu.be&t=490
