Take note: I m using the stock cooler that comes in the box. If your are using an after market cooler your results may vary. The 3300x used in this review is completely stock speed.CPU-Z Info CPU-Z benchmark G5 G4 R20 SC R20 MC - Comparing to my previous 2200g which is OC to 3.9Ghz 3D Mark Fire Strike - Stock GPU speed 3D Mark Fire Strike - OC GPU speed - Note Physics score has drop. 3D Mark TimeSpy - CPU score is lower here compare to AVG baseline (about 5300) , I guess need a more powerful GPU to unleash the 3300x performance.

Temperature using AMD stock coolerStart windows and in idling state. Doing normal task - MS.Office, 1080p Youtube, VLC watch 4k60 videos, 1080p gaming, etc.. may hit 82c max. Doing CPU intensive task - After R20 benchmark - Max temperature hit 95c. During R20 benchmark Max stable frequency 4.1 GHz all cores until the end. In game benchmark FF XV F1 2018 Suggestion: IF NEED TO OC 3300x to 4.4 Ghz or higher, THEN USING THE BETTER COOLER IS NEEDED TO DO SO. THE AMD STOCK COOLER HAS NO HEADROOM TO OC AT ALL.

Your mobo B450 came with bios already support this CPU? Or need to update first?

QUOTE(kereta @ Jun 5 2020, 09:31 PM) Your mobo B450 came with bios already support this CPU? Or need to update first? I need to flash my bios to support 3300x as I bought the mobo 1 year ago.

Apparently there is a way to increase performance while reducing voltage and temperature using the stock cooler. Here I OC 3300x to 4.3Ghz@1.25v There are 2 methods to achieve this. (Running all cores at 4.3Ghz during R20) 1. Ryzen MasterUsing this program able to get 2601 in R20 while the max temp is about 91c. Refer RED box. 2. Mobo Bios.Using bios setting get slightly lower score in R20 while the max temp is lower to 89c. Refer GREEN box. 3D Marks with 3300x 4.3Ghz@1.25v Using stock GPU speed and just focus to test CPU score.

This processor is alright, some sites claim that it's really fast but from my experience it's far from being a 3600 in many games.
That said, great value. It runs at 4.3GHz in most game titles I tested which is really high clock as it is.
Try to hit all cores 4.2Ghz at a minimum if you want to OC but generally leaving it on stock is better.

Until 90c For me reach 70c I already feel uncomfortable. Those in cold climate their temp just 60 something. Good aftermarket cooler can cool it enough to make it not exceed 80c

QUOTE(Fetilar @ Jun 28 2020, 11:00 PM) I chose between 3300 and 2200G, chose 2200G because of the built-in graphics, but now I think I made a mistake but 3300x no iGPU, u can OC 2200G to 3.9 Ghz with the stock cooler to get better performance.

QUOTE(piscesguy @ Jun 30 2020, 08:11 AM) Yeap until game developers really invest heavily into multi-thread performance, speed is always the determinant performance factor over number of cores
