How to reset or calibrate battery level on android?
Or delete battery stat.
Because my samsung tab a 2017 after pie last year,
Even after few software update,
When charging battery level most of time is show incorrectly
Yes maybe someone remember i ask before

Sometime will 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 89, 88, 87, 88, 89, 90, ... 100%
Or 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 91, 90, 89, 90, 89, 88, 89, 90, ... 100%
Or will stuck on some %, like 95%, 97% even after half hour percentage no change

Already try
Clear cache partition
Charging with device off, even off battery level also show like that
Completely drain battery until device auto off, then charging until full without ON it
Use different charger, come with device, 15w fast charger and 25w super fast charger, all charger are come with samsung phone

I think battery stat on system corrupt.
If need factory reset then i will not going to fix
Device 2 years no more warranty

It's battery degradation. Change a brand new battery and problem solved.

Better firmware to deter battery health more accurately.

If your phone battery can last you 1 day of regular mixed usage with about 10% left before charging... I'd say the battery is still good for another year.
Can consider replacing if you need to charge it frequently within the same day.

If the battery could last a day, there is nothing to worry about.

My old Huawei P9 battery drops from 100% to 90% within 5 mins when I unplug the charge, and takes more than an hour to charge from 90% to 100%.

My honest opinion....is to replace NEW battery very 2 years.
There is a lifespan on battery....whether you use it furiously or smartly...
Chemical reaction inside battery still rocking...

It doesn't mean you rarely use mean can extend battery life.

For example laptop battery....same principle....once you charge it...lifespan for the battery will be degrading over time.

Don't always use your phone until zero% battery... this may cause deep discharge (sometimes causes gasses or bulging) in Li-ion /LiPo based batteries... which accelerate the wear level. Start charging when battery reach 20-40%.

You dont have to charge your battery all the way to 100% every time.. 80% is adequate. Only once or twice every week.

For laptops, there is a function that only charge up to 80% then stops. for ppl using laptops mostly on AC. This prevent overcharging at full capacity which can hurt the battery cycles or wear level.

If the battery wear level is over 45% of its original full capacity. Its time for a new battery.

You can simply download Android battery calibration app from the Google Play store and calibrate the battery easily. Some of these apps require root access. So make sure to download an ideal app according to your root status.
