I have this second hand Xbox which my boss pass it to me cause he has the 360, and stated that the Xbox 1 needed fixing. The part that its needed to fix is the cd rom area. Cannot load the games I guess or worst the whole Xbox needed servicing. He already asked a quotation from the people at Sg. Wang area and has given him the price of RM 200 to fix that thing! OMG! Havent try lowyat yet though..... but anyways, guys! I need help, is there any place that gives cheaper price in servicing the whole Xbox? RM200 is reasonable for servicing but not fixing the cd rom area! HElp!

That's probably the price for replacing the internal DVD-ROM with a new one. Do a search on Ebay for the price of a replacement DVD-ROM for the XBox and you'll notice it's quite similar to that amount. The DVD-ROM used in an XBox is not the same as the one used in a PC so there's no point in comparing the price to that.
