Hi, my house area is in kampung area, we don't have access to Unifi, Maxis Fibre or any other Home broadband. But, Im intending to use 4G SIM wifi Tenda modem router to pair up with 4G LTE Sim card to make our own wifi. Now, our households are using YES 4G LTE Home, which is super slow and very sad at 2Mbps, and sometimes it's not working which is frustrating, and we have to pay RM90+ every month. I'm seeing a lot of users use infinite 150 Digi Plan for tethering and hotspot with the SIM modem router, and I'm thinking to do the same since Digi speedtest in my area can reach 30Mbps. Then, I noticed that there are Digi unlimited 100 but the hotspot is capped at 20GB but the data is still unlimited, can I use ethernet cable and put it to my PC and harness that unlimited data or is that count as their 20GB hotspot data ?

It still consider hotspot unless the simcard inside gadjet like phone/tablet/ipad. May be your could try unifi air without contract(without huawei dongle). Unifi air offer unlimited hotspot, If line not stable you could terminate the line anytime.

My suggestion is to buy all sim and try out their internet to find which is the best in your area. Then only you decide which telco to go for. There is also Maxis RM138 for unlimited data, but it is a broadband only sim without call. If you wish to go for Digi, take the Infinite 150.

Based on Open Signal, Maxis has the fastest average speed in my area and Digi is the second fastest. Although, I've tested with Digi and it respectfully can reach 30Mbps.

What do you reckon ?

I called Maxis, and they say there's no plan for 138 no more, there are new 108 plan now. Hotspot and speed are unlimited.

It's the same, 108 is the discount rate after you bundle with your maxis postpaid plan. Maybe then wanna force you to get their postpaid plan.
