Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Ixus 70 does not have Image Stabilizer. I think the only models from Canon that has Image Stabilizer is the A710IS, Ixus 800IS, Ixus 850IS, Ixus 950IS and G7.

You can go try out Fuji's F31fd as recommended by a lot of members in this forum. It is claimed to capture pictures with extremely high IQ in low light conditions. I have not tried it myself though. Price wise I think should be under RM1k just for the camera I guess.

Canon performs so-so only in low light conditions, unless you're willing to bump up the ISO, increase exposure time and live with the noise like I do (the shots still look fine in 4R prints though).
