QUOTE(ehwee @ Jun 2 2020, 02:11 PM) it's better to put fridge outside, may be near dining area to leave out space for food preparation counter, since you only have 8ft long wall for the small kitchen counter. yes, i planned that as well .fridge may put on the side since reserve that full 8ft space for the kitchen QUOTE(waghyu @ Jun 2 2020, 02:13 PM) Big enough space. One thing you can do is go to IKEA kitchen designer, get free idea there. Then only ask 3rd party contractor to build for you. You need to put hob and sink, and this is easy and neat in small space. ah i see. yes. i'm trying to minimize my budgeting so just want to maximize this space. too bad the knoxhult series are sold out currently have to go with more expensive metod if i do take from ikea |

QUOTE(reed90 @ Jun 2 2020, 02:42 PM) Adviseable to tarik, but if only 1 running at full power rating, it's fine with the current 13A rated power line up to 2500 watts combined. For unit that got 5 burners, usually they limit the power rating at which you cannot turn each of 5 to run at max rated power, so the supply line never exceed borderline. Induction cooker is very good and efficient. |

QUOTE(reed90 @ Jun 2 2020, 12:24 PM) for condo who have yard, does people cook in the yard? or fit inside? Preferably cook outside as the oil and smoke goes everywhere if you cook inside.8ft seems to small to cramp sink and hob together Cook outside basically if you don't mind the aesthetics, can make either a metal shelf or wooden shelf (from hardwood eg balau timber), hood optional but preferably you get a large 12" KDK exhaust fan or two to vent out the yard. Because 8' kitchen once you have a sink and the balance is food prep, drying area, if you put a stove there it really will eat into your food prep area. For me about half of the 8' is gone to sink + drying area, the other half is food prep and air fryer/kettle space. Cooking done outside is easier as you only need to mop the yard. |

8ft is really tight. However you can make do by downsizing the appliances. Use square hob instead of the typical rectangular one and single bowl sink.
8ft is around 2440mm. Rectangular hob like serie 6 bosch is around 600mm and single bowl sink is around 500mm. So with this two items install, you will have around 1.3m left for prep space. Say another 300mm for gap between sink/hob and wall you’d be left with 1m for prep space. Should be decent enough provided you don’t have any other countertop appliances like stand mixer, coffee machine & etc. Other small appliances like blender, electric kettle & etc, you might need to keep in the cabinets and only take out when you plan to use it. Dish drying better use the one fixed on the wall in front of the sink, but you can to be very rajin to clear them off because it could get full very fast due to the size. You can get the cheap one from IKEA. This post has been edited by blanket84: Jun 3 2020, 12:13 AM |

Ahh darn it seems like mine. Unable to fit it all really, still headache designing. Also is it feasible to have built in oven underneath induction hob? Wont heaty? Or break glass in long run?
