I'm using Hotlink Red atm, if i upgrade plan to the new unlimited one via hotlink app by paying RM5 fee. What will happen to my credit balance? Will it be carried forward to the new plan(Hotlink unlimited)?
*
After deducting the RM5 fee, your remaining balance in your Hotlink RED definitely will carry forward to the new Hotlink Unlimited data plan.

Just MNP port in cannot carry forward the balance to the new telco.

I think the unlimited call feature is what I’m looking for in hotlink. They finally offer it

It’s still a decent plan  the FUP is meant to avoid buffet users.
But digi is still nicer, because you can tether the allocated data.
*
Unlimited call still has FUP in it, maybe just 300 minutes only for 30 days.

Speed sized up also no use if the line congested most of the time
*
The line in both of your locations are congested do not mean all around Malaysia is congested.

Our telco data line (MAXIS, CELCOM, Digi, U Mobile, YES 4G, XOX, Yoodo and etc.) is bad and unstable, there is only 50% of chance the line is really congested in our areas.

The other 50% of chance is because someone is using the phone signal jammer to block our line so that we cannot use the data to online, and even call.

When we enter a building or our house, if the 4G line suddenly drops a lot, or even drop to H/3G until cannot online, but the line will goes back to 4G normally after leave the building or outside our house, then we can sure that someone is using the jammer to block our line.

If I am not mistaken, it is illegal for those who do this according to MCMC.

Mcmc should start to investigate  , may be that why  my area here  having some issue
*
Then you need to find out yourself.

At the beginning, I also think that it might be the problem of my telco. But when I take my phone and go to outside of my house, the line and the speed goes back to normal.

Go inside the house, line drop suddenly and difficult to online.

So if it is telco problem, the line will remain bad no matter inside the house or outside the house.

I just share my experience. Not like someone keeps on posting the misleading and inflaming comments.

it is very common to have weaker signals in buildings due to multiple walls etc. if it is a signal jammer, then whether inside or outside also signal problem. i just sharing my experience from using umobile, celcom, hotlink, digi, yes, unifi mobile and onexox. tend to get weaker signals at different locations that have a lot of walls.
*
QUOTE(jsnhoh @ Jun 14 2020, 03:04 PM)
I think most likely the 4g signal wave can not penalty the thick wall or there are metal in between your phone and signal tower.
Signal is getting weak is happening everywhere. Friend, u r not alone.
*
I used the telco for almost two years already in the same house and there is no new tall building that built recently.

I can get almost full bar in the house. So nothing to do with penetrating the walls.

The line is back to normal today.

hmm.gif Many of your posts, those related to U Mobile ones, keep telling everyone that U Mobile sucks everywhere. It makes me feel like U Mobile has offended you so badly  .

Because he is a marketing manager and fan from other telco.

He just keeps on talking nonsense but no action has taken against him.

Have you tried to watch the 480p movies in YouTube by using the 512kbps speed?

However, this redemption is only 1 time per day.

Currently I am using digi 38, 10gb quota and everyday 1gb free from 1pm to 7pm.  So is like 40gb per month and unlimited call. Do u guys think is worth for me to get 35 hud or just stay to my digi.
*
Price is same after the promotion period, that is 38, but the speed has limited to 3Mbps for HUP and you can get extra 10GB per month only.

It's up to you to decide whether worth or not worth.

Carrier Aggregation (FDD); The LTE-Advanced UE can be allocated DL and UL resources on the aggregated resource consisting of two or more Component Carriers (CC), the R8/R9 UEs can be allocated resources on any ONE of the CCs. The CCs can be of different bandwidths.

Thanks for sharing. I haven't got time to call them yet. So it seems they can't check too? I believe they may have to redirect to  another technical team to access a more detailed data of the line. 🤔 Terrible for such lack in data transparency to the customer/user.

Normally how much data you use per month?

I normally use TIME Home Fibre. So it's truly fast and unlimited. I'm subscribing to HOTLINK unlimited first time to use in another location where I don't have Home Fibre yet. I normally Stream live TV whole day. I don't know how much data doesn't that pull per month. With 50GB data limit, I then can't stream TV the whole day anymore. It's definitely going to be more than 50GB within few days.
*
You should go to those 100 and above postpaid unlimited data plans.

I watch Korean drama with 1080x606 resolution every day, data usage per month already almost 150GB. I am using U Mobile 35 prepaid plan.
