So i've contacted the person and I have these info.
My situation is that I am now on Maxis Fibre and still under contract.
The person told me that TM is willing to pay for my penalty fee of RM500 (10 mths x RM50 ).
Included in this campaign, I will be also given a free 42" TV. Wow! He showed me which model and it is this model.
So that explains the "More than RM1000 worth of freebies".
Cut short, this is the pricing scheme.
30Mbps (unlimited data as said)
1st to 10th month = RM39
11th month onwards = RM89
1st to 10th month = RM79
11th month onwards = RM129
I am lazy to do my maths. Any advantage or disadvantage, you guys go and calculate.
If they are secretly offering this kind deal, I want the same, if not will move forward to file another report.
They are checking with the manager, will get back to me on Monday.
What about existing customers? New customer that signup for Unifi? Streamyx user?
All the different pricing and they are focusing user to renew their contract every 2 years.
Many streamyx users are still paying expensive bill with slow and unstable internet speed.
RM69, RM79, RM89? Paying for the price with the speed in between of 2M-8M.
Some reported they are paying higher for only 4Mbps.
what they offer for Unifi Users.
RM89+RM10 50Mbps (force you to renew 2yrs contract)
Some of the forumer share they are getting 800Mbps for less than RM200, good for them.
Now please take a look what they offer for Maxis Fiber Users instead
Is this unfair business practice? YES.
Are they treating loyal customer like a cash cow? YES
Is the monopoly National ISP secretly giving sepcial rate to different customer acceptable? Absolutely F*cking Not.
Internet is an essential needs, with the pandamic happened it become more obvious.
This is not okay. I don't think we should tolerate this kind of of BS anymore.
i start with 179 for 30mbps, then auto upgrade to 50mbps (najib time i think, then add RM10 to 100mbps) then turbo to 800mbps and they remove the RM30 for ultimate pack. i dont know why...
so now i m paying 159 for 800mbps. if existing customer go and apply for this package at this price, for sure they wont allow. i m lucky to be
meanwhile ts paying RM129 +6% for 100Mbps
