When deleting files form my external HDD, it immediately prompts that files will be permanently deleted. How do I set this to go into Recycle Bin?

I think your HDD setup treat it as pendrive

Should assign it as secondary disk

If you want to keep the files in recycle bin no matter how large the files is you have to increases the recycle bin size. Windows will only prompt permanent delete if the deleted file(s) is larger than recycle bin. Plug in your external hard drive then view recycle bin properties. Select external drive and increase the maximum size.

If you want to view the external drive recycle bin, use the method below.

You have to increase recycle bin capacity first before able to keep it from being permanently deleted.
