So I have been trying to get moonshell to run on my R4. The problem is this. I have downloaded the DPG tools, encode the movie into DPG file. By using all the default options. Then throw it into the memory card. When I try to run it, 2 things happen. Either my DS hangs or there is Error. Unrecognized file type.

Does anyone know what I did wrong or What Should I do?

u mean u just want to play that DPG file on R4?

u just dump it into the microSD, then on the ds (with R4 in the slot of cos). then choose the middle option (the multimedia one, not the game option), then select the file u want to play.

that's how i play my DPG files lar. don't know if that's what u're looking for.

got no prob playing my V.clips in R4. Convert all my .AVI to DPG by using batchDPG and drag & drop into my video folder at the root of my microSD.

Nope, I finally found out why I can't play my DPG file.

The MicroSD have to be in Fat32 format. Fat format wont work

Cheers! Problem solved.

P/S: R4DS has new update. which came out today. Check it out.

Hi, does anyone know why when I convert movie using BatchDPG, the movie becomes mirror. Meaning, all the words are the opposite way like mirror lah...how to solve?

I am new in Moonshelling, is there anyway to fast forward movie when viewing using it?

TQ.

Sherrina: I never had that problem, what video format are you converting?
u use the L/R buttons for rewind/fast forward if I remember correctly, or you can tap the touch screen and scroll through the video, it is a bit dodgy on longer videos though.

Could have been something went wrong with your source file, or your conversion tool/method.
Try playing DPGs converted by someone else, give me a PM if you need a link. wink.gif
