Usage? There's really no point for most 4K monitors due to a few things:

1. Most 4K monitors tend to be 27/28 inches, which is overkill and often causes scaling issues on Windows (ideally you want 32 inch or above for this)
2. Gaming at 4K resolution is incredibly resource intensive and often requires a very significant investment (you need something like a RTX2080 Super/Ti just to get a decent 4K60 experience)
3. IMHO, unless if you are talking about content consumption (a TV is better suited for this, due to far better implementation of HDR over monitors) or screen real estate you are much better off with 1440p144 over a 4K60 panel instead icon_idea.gif

4k at 27" is not overkill at all for monitor usage

Infact its the best resolution/ppi if u sitting in usual distance from monitor, sharp and details, no pixelation

Assuming ur vision is good, at 27" 1440p will be pixelated

Even 32" 4k is pixelated

4k monitor is not for gaming only, i use it mainly to watch uhd bluray movie which produce bloody sharp image at close distance

Monitor and Tv are 2 different things
