Hi guys! I am not sure if this has been asked before.

Honestly, may I know how I can start my very own web comic? Maybe I will publish it on my blog or instagram.

I am thinking of using my Samsung Galaxy Note and S Pen to draw.

Is is possible to just draw using a smartphone and stylus?

What apps should I be using? Can someone please recommend me?

I really appreciate it. biggrin.gif

Yes possible. What you have in mind? Can build publishing platform, or compile entire comic and sell / distribute for free as start. Later put drm content protection or somethinf. Or build name first.

You can look up Webcomics.com which teaches on the business, design etc. side of webcomics, as well as recommending apps to make one. Ask Brad Guigar, who owns the site, for any Q&A and crits.

As for tablets & apps, most would could go for the iPad Pro & Procreate combo, though Samsung is slowly gaining ground with their current Tab S series. Check out Brad Colbow's reviews on tablets and apps for recommendations.

Webcomickers swear by Comicpress & Comic Easel for publishing webcomics. Beyond that, current hot thing now is Tapas & Webtoons.

To improve your art, there's always Proko & Watts Atelier.

Just remember this one thing: OWN YOUR RIGHTS. As a creator, be wary of third-party publishers or middlemen before signing up. Especially someplace as legit as Webtoons, where terms can change.

Last thing, look up either Penny Arcade & PvPonline. Penny Arcade went from a tiny, two guy operation in the late 90's to something bigger, having their convention & games. PvPonline is like number two, but creator is a bit more accessible to reach out to.
