Case Study / Situation :

Morning runs without my phone is a breeze these days, yet sometimes i find myself needing to have some cash in hand to buy drinks or even a short toilet pitstop + coffee. And most of the time I lose my RM10 or whatever small cash I bring along. That's why sometimes i wonder when NFC enabled devices specially via smartwatches will be fully utilized here in Malaysia? seems like most mobile eWallets focus on QR code , example my TnG ewallet. (Shell needs qr code, speedmart can accept bar code). A quick search I found that garmin pay has yet to be supported here in malaysia.

Question:
1) Any of you guys have experience using your smartwatch for payment transactions here? hmm.gif
2) What options do we have specifically here in Malaysia. smile.gif

I carry my phone with me when I jog. I also carry some bills like rm20 just in case I get thirsty or hungry after my run.

I'm a bit sceptic with Garmin. Last year, they got hacked and it was not possible to sync my phone and my watch for a few weeks. What if my watch had an e-wallet? It seems risky.

I just got my Garmin watch and thought utilize the Garmin pay within, but can't add any of my credit card (mbb, pbe and etc..) does it really works?
