Hi,

I got mum who is 70 of age. unfortunately she has been recently being diagnosed with COPD . for the last 1 1/2 years , she threw tantrums most of the time.

it's very hard to anticipate her wants and needs because she always fine something wrong with her surrounding. I used to be able to tolerate her but unfortunately; lately, I have not been able to do that very well .

Anyone can share similar experience in in handling the elderly? A few tips are warmly welcomed. thank you

do you wish to send her to old folks home or do you plan to try your best to look after her yourself at home?
her copd: is she on inhalers or nebulisers now.
hope she has stopped smoking.

She's currently being warded at the hospital, probably will be discharge in 1 or 2 days... I have arranged for her an oxygen concentrator.. hopefully she will be ok.

I also take a maid service to look for her. it's costing me quite a bit but the maid helps with work around the house also. So, quite ok

She had stop smoking since probably a few months ago.. but I guess if she doesn't have access to oxygen concentrator she will be hardly move around
