Just forget about upgrading to a 9100F - sell both the CPU and board and get a proper Ryzen CPU+B450 instead icon_idea.gif

Unless you want to risk bricking the motherboard and end up with a paperweight then you can always try those guides:

Just save up for a proper AM4 setup for now, the performance gap from a 6th gen i3 to a 9th gen i3 is not that large anyway (basically similar performance, with the only exception is that it has 4 physical cores rather than the 2 physical cores than the old one) icon_idea.gif

If you still want to keep that motherboard you can always get something like an i7 7700/K instead (this would a proper upgrade over your 6100, although it won't be cheap and you can essentially get a proper Ryzen build when you sell off the board+RAM+CPU) icon_idea.gif

FYI, a 7700 (non-K) costs about RM790:

U should try it if u have the cpu ready to play, and also compatible mobo, and having that mobo as a playground . I oc my i5 6500, but mine was a simple attempt. No regret.

Am interested to find out about this as well. I have old H110m board lying around as well and it is difficult to find new 6/7th gen CPU to upgrade the performance.

AFAIK, there are many B250 mining boards with the BIOS modded to support latest 8/9th gen Intel processors. So this is not entirely impossible.
