Does anyone know where I can find the liquid form of the rubbing alcohol aka isopropyl alcohol? Tried couple of pharmacies but most of them only selling the swab ones. I need the liquid ones to clean my electronic parts.

Haiyo.... i have been using CRC (Most expensive), 3 in 1 (Moderately expensive) & Aeropack(Cheapest) contact cleaner for many years cleaning off white and grey thermal compound for years. Hell i sprayed all sorts of ports, USB, HDMI, VGA, PIC slots, fan pins, SATA connectors, with this stuff all the time when servicing some really crusty laden motherboards.

Spray on rag or tissue paper and wipe. It evaporates just as fast as alcohol.

It makes no sense buying a few ml of medical use alcohol that has limited usage. 1 small bottle of alcohol is like RM30 at pharmacies. 1 can of contact cleaner is RM11 and you can clean a lot more stuff by squirting it than a bottle with cotton bud. C'mon now.

I use methylated spirit since isopropyl alcohol no stock in the pharmacy, revived few smartphones and laptops using it.

oh, and to clean thermal paste from cpu, i usually just wipe it using a dry tissue until clean completely.

u can actually just use the alcohol swabs that are sold in pharmacies. They work good enough.

What you need is alcohol swab 70%. I've done cpu thermal paste reapplication like 20-30 times.

You can get them from pharmacy, very cheap.
