I dont know whether this is right place or not to ask. My tv suddenly give no signal on both the hdmi port i always use android box on my tv. Try with my pc monitor, and the box doing fine. Keep changing between the hdmi port, powet on anf off, and even connecting my pa4 with the tv, still no signal. So my conclusion is, the port is burst. Can i repair it? If it is hard to diy, how much can i expect the cost of repair to be? Thanks in advance.

do you have hot air gun? do you have any experience in soldering? burst meaning ? solder loose or burnt? a tv repair shop can normally do it cheap, maybe 70-100

What's the brand of the TV? And what's the error message that popped up?

Try to reset the TV back to factory settings to see if there's any difference.

It is Philips 32 lcd tv. It just showing blue screen with no signal. I'll try factory reset, hopefully it will back to normal.

By burst i mean, i conclude that the hdmi port is the culprit. Haha, sorry for wrong message. Haven't open the case yet, but i haven't do soldering for years, even i think i have the necessary item to do it in my home. If the repair cost is less than 100, i think i may just send it for repair.

Looks like the electronic component that control the HDMI port has gone bad.

YOu can go to service center and they just replace the whole PCBA. Or you can buy the faulty board if you know but PCBA from original manufacturer also is usually not covered by a year warranty. Once it is working consider no more warranty. Usually like that.

I think you meant bust, not burst (explode).

Repair is not less thatn RM100 for sure. Usually the chip that control IO for HDMI is part of bigger board which may cost around RM300

1. If both ports is faulty, that means the controller is faulty, not the HDMi port
2. 32 inch, beli baru je lah, replacing that controller would cost almost the same as buying a new 1
3. For your next TV, I would suggest going for a 40 inch instead of a 32 inch again as 32 inch only has a resolution of 1366x768 whereas a 40 inch carries a resolution of 1920x1080
