 PWM fan as Exhaust Fan?

PWM fan for single Exhaust fan.. Does it make sense?
Or better stick to 3pins fan?

Sorry to ask here, cause Google is not giving me a good enough answer ๐Ÿ˜…

Based on my understanding, 3-pin/4-pin fans are different by the ways you can control the fan speed; 3-pin fans controlled by varying the voltage supplied to the fan; 4-pin fans controlled by varying the pwm signal through the 4th pin.

Either type of fans will work. Doesn't necessarily mean one is better than the other
