US doesn't allow their exported jets to be used unless otherwise authorized by the US. Their jets are basically very restricted
I've read somewhere that these jets cannot target American jets. Not sure if it's extended to all American-made jets, and not just jets from US. I read about this long ago before Mahathir even made this statement.
Yeah he probably did not meant source code (he's not a programmer after all).
