You want to trade local or foreign stocks?

Local is as what one person has mentioned: Rakuten, MPlus, HL Broking and others. Just keep in mind about the brokerage fees. The ones mentioned have some of the lowest in the market

Foreign trading can be done on those brokerage as described above as well. There are also online brokerage like eToro, Plus500 or TradeStation, but I personally would avoid these for now.

In that case, try out the brokerages described earlier. Brokering account should be able to be opened online. If you want to use banks like HLB, you may need to physically go to a branch to do it. Just keep in mind that brokerage accounts are generally handled by the Investment Bank of that bank rather than the Retail Bank part (i.e. Hong Leong Investment Bank instead of Hong Leong Bank)
