The difference is the tweeter lor. The 6.5" is for midbass and midrange. Tweeter is for high frequency. If u dont have tweeter, the high freq sounds will sound muffled. But im sure there's a tweeter in your stock speaker somewhere.I guess your concern is you dont want to add a tweeter on your dashboard?
