leaking from the ceiling, above is the tanki and open air... i have 1 roof guy go up see.. he snap pic let me see all is cracked line.. like the desert crackling but small... but is whole slab of the area cracked, not specific location only..

the roof guy recommend do roof to cover... the waterproof paint will not last that long and the tanki sit on the slab.. waterproof paint cannot pain under the tanki...

you think is correct to do roof? need 2nd opinion...

Yes, for long terms wise it is good to have a roof above if your kitchen ceiling is just a bare concrete flat roof.

Yet it still depend on your budget and the workmanship of the contractor. If you opt for  torch on Bituminous Waterproofing Membrane instead of usual painted waterproofing layer, it will last long also.

Since the tangki is impossible to lift up to apply the waterproofing... i think have to go for the roof...
