what are the choices we have for subang jaya residents.
there don't seem to have any new good workout gym for martial art practice . mostly were in the hall or rented place.
jak kickboxing i find it quite old .
Try this place, plenty to choose: Aikido, Karate, Shorinji Kempo. Two of the instructors there are my friends. More info here:

Running through theories and concepts are not useless. But of course, to be well rounded, practical application should be done.
I see that from the website, the cheapest cost is RM375 per quarter (for classes) + RM100 per year membership.
Is there any other option? Also will there be a need to buy the uniform as well? or can we just train with a normal T shirt and sports pants.
Are you by any chance the guy in the photo of the site ?

Tough looking dude.
I didn't say they were useless lar, just less effective compare to training with people in gym, dojo, dojang whatever. You see, although you might "think" you have fully understood the concepts, applications or techniques from watching a video or reading a book,
actually doing it is very different.
The variables in actual training are too many to even mention: there is no way you can understand energy, motion, timing, speed, strength, resistance, toughness (both mental and physical) from watching videos or reading books.

If you are really interested, PM me to arrange a trial class for you. Then you can see if this is for you. But please bear in mind that we train hard so some degree of fitness is required.

We are really a friendly bunch, so if you enjoy "hard training" with da monkey boys, come on over.

For our CMD program, you'll need boxing gloves, MMA gloves, mouth guard, shin protector, groin protector and etc. Just wear t-shirts and shorts although fightwear is recommended (rash guard & fight shorts) because there is some degree of hard contact. Wouldn't want your shorts to be torn from grappling right? (maybe your gf do lar)

CMDP is a MMA regimen consisting of striking, clinch, takedowns and grappling.

For our BJJ program, you'll need a BJJ gi and fightwear for no-gi nites. This is a purely grappling program with throws, takedowns, control and submissions.
But dun worry about all those gears, we have loaners for those who want to try out the programs.
Hope everything is clearer now. Cheers!

BTW, we just opened a new gym in Kuching, run by my good buddy and his wife. More info here:
