I believe it's not only netflix, all of the video streaming websites/apps are getting throttled to 512kbps after 300gb usage.
I have tried Digi but Digi network is the worst telco among all for my exact location, could be too far away from the towers.
*
I just subscribe for this plan because maxis has the good coverage in my (non-fibre) area compared to other telcos and provide unlimited(?) data to use. After hearing it throttle to 512kbps, I had no choice but to limit my usage down since I can't afford to get throttle during gaming session.

While 512kbps is still better than celcom which drop to 64kbps, they could've just limit the usage to 2mbps at least. What can we do with 512kbps anyway, this is not dial-up era anymore

AFAIK, many games aren't affected, like LOL, PUBG. Downloading files are capped to 20mbps.

Video streaming sites, like Facebook, YouTube, Netflix, are throttled to 512kbps. Google Play Store download/update is throttled too. But strangely, iOS App Store and Windows 10 store don't get throttled.
*
Is Twitch and Discord are affected too by any chance?

Hi guys  on MaxisONE Wifi Go,

Can you access www.speedtest.net ?

I can't it seems they have blocked it.

When I connect to ExpressVPN I can access www.speedtest.net
*
I can still access speedtest here. Probably there's an issue with routing. Reset your modem should work

Hi all, can I just walk into the store and sign up immediately, or must I leave my number for them to call me?
*
For SIM only, you can just go to the store/booth and pay upfront to get the sim card, activation in 5minutes iirc
For SIM + Modem, same as above but some store may not have the modem ready for you. Do call their respective maxis store beforehand

Seriously, I don't mind if Maxis capping Youtube streaming to 2mbps but also capping everything else in 8pm~12pm is just a stupid move from this carrier. As if the 300GB FUP limit isn't enough but I didn't even hit that cap for months since I use this plan, should just move to Unifi Air if I kept getting this kind of treatment

Tahi Lembu la their CS.

I triple confirmed with their sales agent, "NO THROTTLE BEFORE REACHING 300GB usage". Fine, sign the deal, first night 8PM, throttled LOL ~~~

See current speedtest:

*Consider max speed, my area bit far from the tower, can only get Band7, which around 30~50MBps max.

See after 8PM speedtest:

30MB vs 2MB
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Btw, no need wait another month, i immediately file complain to MCMC dee:

Salam sejahtera Tuan/Puan,
Berikut adalah maklumat ringkas mengenai aduan yang telah dikemukakan oleh pihak tuan/puan kepada MCMC:
ID Aduan: 1220-01-0001304-MXS
Pemberi Perkhidmatan: MAXIS
Kategori Aduan: Network
Sub-kategori: Internet Connection/speed
Huraian Aduan: I've recently purchase Maxis Go Wifi with Maxis at the price of RM138 per month. Before the purchase, i have a chat with Maxis representative to confirm that THERE WILL BE NO HOURLY THROTTLE applied to this service. They will only throttle the service after the monthly usage had reach 300GB, and the...

Wow with that kind of speed on normal hours alone is already a red flag, mind you the upload speed is almost on par with what unifi air gives.
2mbps limit for 8-12pm is seriously unacceptable, even for single user since this prime time that people consume their content online, limiting this for everything hurts a lot, even for gaming. Complaining to mcmc soon

So far, I can stream youtube and other video on 1440p during 8pm~12pm this month, no throttling observed on other site too but network would suddenly halt (around 12.30am~3am) and needed to reset router when it happened.
