QUOTE(silentser @ Jun 17 2020, 03:15 AM) Yeah but alot of people would not accept the speed capped since they can register with DiGi with a bit higher price and will have virtually no limit. Cool. 30mbps is really not bad if given a single user browsing videos or even Netflix. Then again DiGi has a higher data quota but with a shitty internet speed doesn’t mean much. Prior to my cancellation of Digi Infinite 150 which I’ve been using more than 2 years. The last speedtest I got is somewhere 3-12 mbps which is pointless to continue paying for a hefty RM 150 a month.

QUOTE(glauncher @ Jun 17 2020, 08:28 AM) Hi, i just signed up to maxis one go wifi, and went to a local store to buy router. The promoter recommended me TP link brand similar to below https://www.allithypermarket.com.my/product...629942345&_ss=rI see everyone mention about Huawei, can any sifu explain whats the difference between this and the Huawei B818? as the price difference a lot. Thanks That TP-LINK model is just a Cat4 LTE with speed up to 150mbps and it’s just LTE not LTE-A meaning you’ll only able to use single band unlike HUAWEI B525 or B618 or even B818 that can connect two bands at the same time in which gets you LTE-A aka 4G+. Anyway if speed is your concern and budget ain’t an issue. I would recommend getting this unlocked international set. https://shopee.com.my/product/11343598/6635387930?smtt=0.0.9 BTW I personally using this too.

QUOTE(silentser @ Jun 17 2020, 03:14 PM) BTW have you install hmanager for your b818, did you ever got 4g+? I don't know why my maxis here would never lock 4g+ only 4g Yes I did. Using android. Manage to let it setup B3&B7 and get 4G+ but I was lazy and set it back to Auto. Hoping maxis will use B38 in which Maxis doesn’t 😂.

QUOTE(destiny017 @ Jun 22 2020, 08:16 PM) Why they do this since we pay premium price...is a bad idea to throttle at peak hour as most of the people use at that time...this is ridiculous 🤬🤬🤬 I already called CS and complain about this issue. They gave me this 🖕🏻 Purely just listen to my rants and do no shit about it.

QUOTE(destiny017 @ Jun 24 2020, 12:42 AM) Other thing is normal can get 25+ mbps except social media maciam youtube facebook cap at 2mbps....so kiasu.. What to do. Maxis has the best 4G network BUT when during MCO heavy usage is still fare better than my Digi does. My area totally no hope for Digi Infinite 150. Play Netflix movie drop until 240p or 360p then keep buffering.

QUOTE(destiny017 @ Jun 28 2020, 10:55 AM) YT and some social media currently throttle speed at 8pm-12am for 2mbps during MCO period(based on what cs told me), other working at full speed. Yeap. Tried 4K video on my new Samsung TV. Buffering.... around 11pm 🤦 but Netflix able to playback 4K Netflix @ 7.62mbps for 2160P/4K

QUOTE(shloke2018 @ Jul 13 2020, 10:22 AM) I have an old home router, model Huawei B315s with a slim card slot. Can I use it for Maxis home wireless? can but a Huawei modem with 4G+ performs way better

No worries about the SIM card size. Most HUAWEI 4G modem is using microSIM size.
Anyway still suffering slow YouTube during 8pm-12am 😤

QUOTE(zelltan8 @ Sep 4 2020, 04:20 PM) hi all....would like to ask some questions. 1) is the RM108 for existing postpaid customers valid only for 12 months? Or until I cancel the service? 2) Is the Tenda 4G 680 router suitable for this Maxis One Go? Thanks a lot. 1) 1st year monthly is RM 108, then back to RM 138. There is no contract base unless you took the ZTE RM 1 modem. 2) Tenda 4G 680 is nothing great, is no different than using ZTE RM 1 modem or even Huawei B310 / 315. I'm currently using International version unlocked Huawei B818D and boy... is blazing fast and more stable. During off peak hours, my speedtest goes around 130mbps and my Netflix fast.com speedtest goes up to 170mbps.

QUOTE(ming0000 @ Sep 6 2020, 09:22 PM) MaxisONE Go Wifi can up to 130-170mbps? I'm using Digi Infinite + Huawei B618-65D, 4G+ speed normal can up to 70-130mbps at Fast.com. Every month usage around 300GB. I'm not Maxis postpaid user, can get RM108 permonth? 1. is area dependent and off peak hours 2.Only maxis subscribers get the rm 30 rebate each month for a year.
