Dear all,

Kindly recommend me a monitor for gaming purpose, prefer 144hz , hdr, and with G sync. IPS flat screen.

I am using Gpu RTX2060. mostly on 1080p resolution.

Heard that 1080p for 27inch will be many obvious pixel?

Budget as low as possible, below rm1k.

Thanks.

Acer ED273A 144Hz. no gsync. personally using it thumbsup.gif IMO 1080p not so obvious. the higher refresh rate is noticeable & no tearing. i cant go back to 60hz.

Nak 27", nak IPS & nak G-Sync @ 144Hz
The only monitor that fits those specs is Asus ROG Swift PG279Q

But budget only RM1K mega_shok.gif

Lower your expectation dude. Seriously

HDR? Forget about getting a PC monitor then (go for a TV instead due to how poor HDR implementation in pretty much all monitors) icon_idea.gif

Have you considered the new Acer nitro XV270P? I'm frankly rather surprised as to why no one has brought up this model to your attention or that you have not come across it when browsing the online markets.

It fits most if not all of the requirements that you have listed, and more:
- It is going for around RM 850
- It has a flat screen
- 27 inch screen for immersive gaming
- Supports 144Hz with overclock to 165Hz refresh rate
- It's an IPS panel which has better colours and viewing angles than other similarly priced monitors which only offer TN or VA panels at this price point.
- Low pixel response times despite it being an IPS panel
- It is touted to support AMD freesync but Gsync can also be enabled in NVIDIA control panel settings.
- It supports HDR , though no doubt not on par with the more expensive monitors (better than not having any HDR that is usually the case with other monitors at this price)
- The inputs are HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 (in contrast other monitors at this price point that offer similar specs only support HDMI 1.4 or DisplayPort 1.2)
- Built in speakers, though I highly recommend getting a set of external speakers. (Still, better than most monitors at this price point that don't have built-in speakers for convenience).

Oh and did I mention that this monitor is being sold on Shopee / Lazada for just a little over RM850?

Seriously dude you should check this monitor out.

That one uses a similar panel as the AOC 24G2, so go for it (Panda IGZO panel) icon_idea.gif

For myself, 27 inch at 1080p resolution is good enough. I preferred the extra screen size over the 24 inch model. But if you were to opt for the 24 inch version of this monitor that would be even cheaper bro. Around rm650 on Lazada/ Shopee.

Roughly 200 bucks cheaper than the Asus model you're contemplating, for identical specs

It actually depends on close you sitting between monitor.
It’s fine but of coz 2k is nicer to look at.
Just don’t go 4K, was using one and have to tune down setting during gaming.
