I bought laptop before froom lazada but I make sure I bought it from reputable laptop seller that answer my question with warranty

some seller actually purchase stock from other seller, if they open the box = cannot return. if never open, they can return it if customer don't want to buy.

if the customer said wanted to buy, ask them open first then said don't want... confirm seller force them buy.

1 thing to check on spot is dead pixel

warranty does not cover dead pixel

so buy on spot can check dead pixel, if got dead pixel can ask open another box unit, else just walk away since not pay yet.

Isolated case. I bought iphone, apple watch, uhd tv, laptop, pc parts, monitors all online. Just make sure buy from top rating seller, then nothing to worry about.

can be seller (need to see the profile)

can be delivery guy (very likely in this case)

can be buyer as well to faked the whole story up to scam refund/replacement

i recently bought wipers from shopee, delivered by poslaju, box is tempered before
inside 1 of the wipers is broken and the bottle of windshield fluid is missing
the seller resend another wiper to me together with windshield fluid but i know someone in poslaju took it

u buy from reputable seller doesn't mean the things will arrive in 1 piece

when going through courier, the things can go missing or damage...encounter this few times...not the fault of the seller
that's why seller must take picture as evidence before every shipment to prove the shipment

how to prove he really got a empty box?

I’ve bought sound bar 1.7k, MacBook Air 2.8k, IPhone XS Max 4.8k, robot vacuum 700, wireless vacuum 800 etc from Lazada, Shopee all no problem

Normally take video, also, as the box is very empty, should feel strange.
