This is my first recording. Please leave me some comments on how to improve my skills. Oh and if anyone can tell me what song is this that would be great too.

Your playing was spot on!

If really want to nit-pick, maybe the starting wasn't very stable tempo-wise and isn't as clean (some fret noise), but the rest was really good...

Not bad! The notes were plucked pretty evenly in terms of volume dynamics and when the melody comes in, it does sound as if 2 guitars are playing different parts.

Oh, nice tone too... you're playing the CPX right?

Ah i was nervous. I'll try to lose the fret noise. Thanks for the comment.

do your fingers have callouses? usually those causes string noise.
one way to reduce it is to dip fingers in warm water to soften them up.

oh yes, ok i'll deep them in warm water before playing. But wouldn't it be more painful when they're soft??

a little pain from playing guitar?
or pulling out your fingernails?

for me i like the fret noise sound

nice tune thou...i would have been better if there is less staccato note n more legato...keep it up..

don't need to pull out nails. . . just cut deep into the meat. . . lolz

i plug in my guitar to my microcube. Then from the rec out to my laptop's mic input. I used sonicstage mastering studio. I was worried that it might come out not too good the quality i mean. But it came out not too bad eh?

wow... not too bad for a recording on a laptop... i've always thought recording on laptops won't work cause i tried once and i got tons of latency...

oh man bluesilver u made my day nice...the tune keeps ringing in my head now.any lyrics to the song? can sing also n record in too wanna hear..

yeah i was surprised with the quality too.

i can't even begin recording... all the string noise will kill everyone

actually i tried recording once with a mic, my mic lousy so the sound was pretty blurry and grainy with background noise. that was with my sister's classical guitar.

just to let you know, i used to play metal songs on my sisters classical before i got my electric guitar it was funny tuning to c(saggy strings!) and palm muting on a classical guitar with nylon strings

lucky i didn't record that

i cannot play metal songs. Too difficult for me. Classical is also too difficult for me. So i just do what i can. sigh~

Well, what kinda sound/feel were you trying you trying to achieve?
Can't really comment if I don't know what you actually intended.

Technically, you're good enough for this simple piece so you should focus more on the music, less on the playing.
Although, you could work on smoother chord changes.

The softly plucked strings lends some delicacy... has a really folk-ish quality. Makes me think of idling days in a peaceful town. If that's close to what you wanted then it's good but if it was some song about war and destruction...

try pluck out the jazz chord rather than the normal chord..this will helps u improve alot ! nice record btw

I think he meant using more jazz-sounding progessions? But that's not how the song is supposed to sound, isn't it.

Anyway about what I said earlier, I guess you can take it as "playing it like you mean it."
But since you didn't mean anything, you can disregard that.
