Is it due to hand sanitizer?
Any side effects of Hand Sanitizer?

Depends. Some people actually are allergic to hand sanitisers or medicated soaps like dettol, etc. Does it happen every time using the hand sanitiser? Like right away, few hours after using or even after prolonged use.

Probably. Alcohol has a dehydrating effect, after all. Same for soap if you wash often. How dry your skin gets depends on your own health and constitution though.

Lots of cheap hand sanitizer use alcohol denat, which is bad for skin.
But high level of alcohol in hand sanitizer can be bad for skin if use excessively. |

Hand sanitizer will make hand dry due to the alcohol. You may need to apply hand lotion.
If your hand start peeling, you may use vaseline apply on yr hand. |

Sanitizers dry out skin. Thats why some includes some form or moisturizer in it. Thats why i hate using sanitizers is because some makes the hand feel like its coated with with something. Medical grade one does not leave coated feeling.

Due to the content/alcohol I think. Or maybe allergy.

If you are always home or can always wash your hand, just wash hand instead of using hand sanitiser.
Hand sanitiser is when you find it harder to wash hand. The time i use most hand sanitiser is when i'm travelling |

I was facing the same issue, so do keep your hands moisturised regularly.

I only realised how expensive Cetaphil is after the MCO, due to OCD use of hand sanitiser.

I see many that don’t understand how to use hand sanitizer
Saw one guy just came down from his apartment via the lift, after exiting, first thing is use sanitizer. For what? He didn’t touch anything. They think it protects them or something. The alcohol only last a minute, it will evaporate off. |

Dry skin, especially on my palm and nails edge. I use Bodyshop butternut handcream and Nivea Crème everynight since MCO because of frequent washing and sanitizer usage. Kinda heal them up little bit but day time feels very dry.
