Hello,

I have a Macbook pro 15 from 2018. I'm looking to get a Razer Core X Chroma. But the issue is, I have a Nvidia RTX2070.
If I install Windows onto the Macbook, and run windows. While on Windows mode, am I able to use the Nvidia card with it? Or I can only use AMD cards?

Instead of spending 5k on a new PC desktop and I have a free GPU. I might as well spend 2k on the Razer Chroma. Im not keen on changing back to Windows other than playing games.

Any advice? Thanks.

you can use nvidia card with windows

Cost effective wise not that much, EGPU bear around 20% loss performance (depend on whether using external monitor & graphic card's performance )

I like to know whether you have setup the eGPU?

because i never thought of having a good GPU mac until when i start 3D designing in bootcamp windows 10.

From what i gather.

1. Apple only support AMD, they even sell Sonnet Puck in apple US site,
2. Razer Core X is still the best casing no 1 in eGPU.io site
3. Razer Core X Chroma more expensive and the the ethernet port is useless according to some reviewer in youtube.
4. Older macs need to connect to another display for this to work

1. I can use Nvidea GTX cards for Macbook with Windows Bootcamp.. No issue..
2. I got the Core Chroma because I want the usb ports. no need to buy any extra adapters.
3. The ethernet need to download official driver from Razer site then it works.
4. Performance wise, I'm not really a PRO at viewing this but as long as I can game smoothly while in Windows, I'm okay with it.

Nope. Nvidia is supported by Microsoft in Windows, but Apple ain't doing anything for Mac. (its not to say you can't, but save yourself the trouble, get an AMD card if you really want to have compatibility)

You can always manage the fans via Throttlestop and MacFanControl.
