Olympus E-500. But not every card will have the problem. My friend's one is working just fine.

And please. Don't let this statement stops you from getting the 31fd. smile.gif

Wait for the F50fd lor.. As for any memory cards, it is IMPORTANT that you ensure you are getting a original memory card. There are tonnes of fake SD and MMC out there, XD maybe, not sure.

Anyway I've been using xD with Olympus camera few years now, no problems so far.

I've been using the same xD card for more than 3 years and have written more than 7000 pictures on it. No problems whatsoever.

I personally had experienced once some funny noises from my S5000. But dunno whether it was the faulty of the camera or the card. But so far after 3 years got no major prob with the card.

The instability of xD card was told by the camera shop salesperson. He said xD card sometimes has this problem. SD, MMC or even stick card are better still, according to him la....

I hope cyanide is not scared off from buying his new cam....smile.gif

dont worry.. my 1gb type M xD from Olympus dont have such problem
i think the sales person r referring to using type H xD on older digicam
then maybe will have instability problem

or older digicam which can support up to 512mb but u put 1gb on it?
some may not be able to detect the 1gb at all, some might but not stable

btw, what's the different between Type H and Type M besides one is older and the other is newer?

lol, the real XD card price for 1GB is near RM200 and for 2GB is near RM300 i think. Not too sure but I can said that most of the card selling at lelong now 80% of it are fake. Just take note at the price. It is better to buy from a Shop nowadays to prevent buying fake ones.

Off-topic a bit:
I got one ori genuine 1GB Sandisk SD at RM70 =.=" no one even want to buy from me, they rather go lowyat buy RM40+ de fake card where they claim that's original. @@

yes for example on a E-510 slr (using Apace CF 150x 8GB) i can capture raw file using burst mode up to 11 shots before it starts to slow down..

try doing that with Olympus XD 2Gb card and the best it can go is 3 raw file before it slows down...
