Just wondering if anyone exhibits the same. On my s20+, resolution changer in Display settings doesn't seem to make a change. Changing from HD+ to FHD+ and higher still shows the same UI resolution. I even tried to reboot. Checking in Aida64 shows my device display is correct as per what I selected.

I even tried in different battery saving mode thinking that's the cause but still same.


Update: I guess it was due to screen zoom I changed.

How's your current maxis 4G sim reception? Your APN is defaulted to Unet or Max4G?

I came from pixel2xl. Reception felt worse. It defaulted me to Unet APN. Still on 4G normal sim

Normal by judging your usage distribution. Those people with high screen on time are mostly most battery spent when using the phone on WiFi instead of screenoff with Bluetooth.

Could be better if you make use of tasker/Bixby routine to auto go to Medium Power Savings to save more but that will require more configuration and need special attention to make it perfect. Some even go full medium power savings. I've tried that and get about 6hrs SOT with only charging during morning before to work.

Tried enabling WiFi Safe Mode in Developer option?

Dunno. But I wish they do dynamic refresh rate based on apps. Preferably configurable. I don't need 96hz/120hz always. It just need to be enabled through software since the hardware now already supports 60/96/120

Samsung and AMD only partnered for GPU side of things and other commercial parts. Don't think I read anything about CPU side.

I'm guessing mobile gamers will care more about GPU but even Adreno and Mali GPUs are good enough nowadays

Was it during charging or not when charging? Some chargers are not grounded well or perhaps issue with phone grounding causing it to trigger when being charged.

Can't remember what phone had this issue before few yrs back but mostly blamed for the bad grounding issue. They said it doesn't happen when phone is in silicone type of case which mitigates a bit on the grounding issue.

Just picking what I had in mind related to the said 'issue'. I have no idea what's the root cause of yours tho.

It needs to be pushing 9Volts at 2.77Amps to achieve Super Fast Charging spec that Samsung set. Maybe that charger fails to push the amp requirement when negotiating with the phone power delivery chip.

Similar issue with not many high wattage marketed charger able to push the voltage/amp during power negotiation with Nintendo Switch docked mode 36Watt

Yeah they changed the method. Can't do directly by power+volup anymore. I used ADB method to clear cache after updating though actually it was unnecessary.

I forgot the new method but i saw someone posted it only few days back on reddit.

Bout OneUI, this thing is just solid. On first few hour I did have issues like custom launchers not sticking and fee hiccups but after few reboots it seems stable now. It has the feel of a major android update which I find it rare to experience compared several android iterations before (eh: JIT, Project Butter and ART release)
