Contemplating a Telco set for 2.7k. Worth the gamble?
*
Worst case scenario you could still fall back on sim2 because telcos will only block sim 1. Btw does the S20+ support ESim yet?

Don't know if it does, haha. Anyways, are you still hunting for your below 3k S20+?
*
Dunno bro.... I have sort of lost my direction already. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Max204 @ May 16 2020, 05:26 PM)
yes, eSim is supported.
*
Hmm... There should be a workaround for a Telco locked phone since E-Sim is supported. hmm.gif

Does the US set (SD) support eSim too ?
*
If the Exynos supports ESim, so would the SD set too.

*
Yes. You could. Provided yours is a dual sim unit.

QUOTE(off_shore @ May 19 2020, 09:25 PM)
Talking about eSim,  anyone knows if Maxis already supporting S20 series on it?

since im buying this phone in Brunei since im stranded in Brunei for work now lol

what do u guys mean by TV? Samsung giving out free TV for S20+ purchase?
*
Its for the first batch of early pre-order for the S20 series. Even that you have to start queuing at midnight at select locations for it. No more now.

actually what is the main difference between normal sim and eSim?
*
One is physical sim card that you have right now, one is digital eSim without sim card. Simple to put it, your phone will be sim card free if you opt to use ESim.

Glad to hear that. This time i want to buy for my dad. Want to give best phone.

Anyway face id is the best imo. I admit it even I'm an iPhone haters tongue.gif
Lol my bad. supposed to not say heard. tongue.gif I read in reddit n google around lol. But all of it is not from MY. That's why want to get feedback from malaysian
*
Its actually android face unlock vs IOS. IOS face ID is far more advance because of the security measures involved in the process.

hi guys, my fren just bought a s20 ultra SD version. When he puts in his Malaysian digi sim card can detect network. but when he puts in his indian vodafone sim card cant detect network. anyone know why ?
*
You have to insert a sim card of the same region is from for the first tims first....eg.. If HK set then insert a HK sim card, make a call or two. Then after that only can insert sim cards from other regions.

the thing is Malaysian Digi sim working fine. The issue is for indian sim card. Its US set btw.
*
Usually sets from Southeast Asia will have a region lock. Try using your digi sim and making a 5 mins long call to disable region lock.

Hye guys,

For the past 2 days, I downloaded ZGCam to be put into my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and play with the config. It's trial and error process.
So far, I manage to have both camera and portrait mode to work flawlessly.
Other modes is not essential for me.
So, here's my ZGCam and XML config for those who are interested to try.
Cheers.

QUOTE(tai_digidestany @ Jun 2 2020, 03:34 PM)
I experienced something weird.

My arrangement is like this;

a. Sim 1 : Maxis Broadband Wifi (data only sim)
b. Sim 2 / Hybrid memory card slot : Sandisk Memory Card 128GB
c. e-Sim : DiGi Postpaid Basic (call and sms only sim)

When i make call (definitely from e-Sim), no data at all for Sim 1. No 4G, no 3G, no EDGE nor 2G logo. Just signal bar only.

I suspect it is own Exynos modem as the culprit since if you make call for a dual-sim set up, it disable the data from the other sim; and only sim that you make call with with can have data. Cannot have two simcard to run data at the same time; albeit you have choose the data only sim.
This is proven because there's an option of;

"Use mobile data during calls" under Mobile Networks that stated as follows;

"Keep your data connection during calls by temporarily using call SIM for mobile data. This may result in additional charge".
*
The S20 is capable of dual sim standby but only one sim data running at any time. So what you meant was that when a call comes in through Sim2, the data on Sim 1 is turned off?

QUOTE(tai_digidestany @ Jun 2 2020, 08:31 PM)
yes, sir. i did.
i put unifi mobile in Sim 1 (VoLTE enabled)
and e-sim is my DiGi Postpaid Basic, MCO free 1GB (VoLTE enabled)

when i use my DiGi to call, unifi mobile only bar; no data.
same thing when i put back my maxis wifi data only sim; no data.

meaning Samsung Exynos modem does not allow the other sim to operate its data when you use other sim to call (even your sim to call no capable of data add-on)
*
It should be not be this way. Most probably would be some buy or some tweaking on the settings required.

Hi guys. Bought my S20+ last week April. And today, i found out there a hairline crack on the lense glass, out of nowhere. Which resulted to the reflection, as you can see in the photo. Can I claim for a replacement? Any nearest Samsung service center in Semenyih?
