How does fe compare to 1+8pro or Oppo x2pro?
Apart from pure hardware comparison, and like other has mentioned, the warranty service quality, the accessibility of service centre is also very important. Samsung basically has SC is all big cities I guess.
On the OS interface, One UI / Color OS / Oxygen / MIUI all these is just a matter of getting used to it. Yes Samsung may come with more bloatware however I must say some of those are really useful. I particularly like the Bixby routines and flash notifications.
My wife is deft she cannot hear her alarm in the morning as she put her cochlear implant external unit to charge overnight. So how does she wake up by alarm then ? The flash notification default function by Samsung is her life savior, by turning on that she get to wake up by flash light when alarm triggered even though she set the sound to be ultra soft (coz loudness setting is of no use to her). Previously she used Xiaomi, I can tell you we struggle so much to find a proper 3rd party app to turn on flash light when alarm trigger. And even we did, it was hit and miss.
As for Bixby routines, I have quite a numbers of pre-set mode. Like turn on auto-rotate when I run Youtube, VLC, Waze, Maps etc else other times the phone is locked in at potrait. Then another setting to reduce brightness, lowest screen resolution, DND mode (only favorite contacts can call), turn off GPS, Wife, Mobile data etc from 11:30pm-6:00am the next day. etc etc, very useful features.
These if you are using bare bone system like Android one, or Oxygen to get the best speed, you will have hard time to get this type of automation app.
