QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Oct 25 2020, 02:10 PM) I did put in my fingerprint previously but I never use that lock..only the face recognition.how do I start using fingerprint to unlock. Edit: I just tested fingerprint unlock. not working with the privacy tempered glass. Oh.. I also tried with face recognition, yeah really a lot faster than fingerprint. Okay, once my screen protector runs dull, I'll change it to TG too.

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Oct 28 2020, 09:33 AM) After using Samsung S20FE for a few days, i learned that: 1. Not gonna go back to APPLE again. 2. Not gonna buy EXYNOS again. 3. NEVER ever going to get curved screen again unless the phone really makes me fall in love at first sight with other features/designs. I just turn off 120hz to standard 60. Now it can last me for 2 days instead one 1.

QUOTE(Homura15 @ Oct 28 2020, 02:56 PM) I just got my s20+ BTS version for wife. For those who owned s20+, is it really easy to get scratches on the phone (screen/camera glass)? I've been following the thread the past couple of days and could not decide what is the best way to protect the phone. After seeing things like camera glass is easy to crack/scratch, should I buy those case with camera protection slide or should I just apply an extra protection layer on the camera glass? Anyone applied the extra protector on the camera area on their s20+? Does it affect the camera when taking pictures? Help! Congrats on ur s20+, my dream phone. S20+ has better amoled screen which is tougher than ours FE. With TG/SP should be alright. I thought only the ultra has problem with the glass on their camera, s20+ too? So far I have not plan to put anything on my camera yet. Still on clear casing.

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Oct 29 2020, 11:48 AM) No wor. there's a gap between the lens and the cover. Unless a stone goes in between, or that person presses on where the lenses are and push it open. Doesn't look like it will scratch cause the cover doesn't touch the lens. Hmmm... But I thought the S20 ultra camera glasses are stronger. That looks like a very deep scratch when most sand/dust won't even leave a dent on a gorilla glass? I see.. Thanks! Hmm I heard mostly is the S20 Ultra having its back camera glass breaks by itself. I use the keyword s20 in Google search, but mostly turns up in the result shown S20 Ultra. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Nov 4 2020, 03:53 PM) by the way, i have a question. Which type of type-c earphones work for phone calls for S20FE? Do i really need to get the DAC one? Huawei one works ah? I bought one normal C earphone white and silver happily to match my white FE. It does not work. Thank goodness I didn't spent so much on it. I also bought a normal dongle C, plugged in with jack also does not work. Took my normal C earphone to try with my friend huawei P30, the sound produced was so nice. Then I took her stock earphone so-so quality not tuned by AKG, and tried on mine, it works. So we exchanged. Good for her, and okok for me... π Can check with Sammy CS to double confirm bout that DAC. Kedekut Sammy!! At least give us an earphone lar if it does not has that DAC built in π‘ making our life so much harder just to find one that is compatible. It's like come buy this property that has bumi discount, but you're not a bumi kind of scenario π€

Nillkin never cease to impress me. Lightweight and reliable. Gotta get a TG for the back camera. Anyone has any recommendations? Will it affect the flash? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Nov 19 2020, 08:14 AM) Where you get that case? I'm using Ringke case right now. The TG for camera that I got does not cover the flash. So I don't think it's affected. I got it from shopee. Eh u changed case? Any problem with the previous nillkin with the camera cover? I got the back TG with the cutout hole for the flash. But when the flash is on, it will reflect back the light that caused a layer of white on the photo, like a mist. Which ringke u get? Nice?

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Nov 19 2020, 10:35 AM) Yes, nice. S20 FE Ringke Matte Clearyeah the nilkin camera cover one too heavy. xD I don't use any flashes so i am not sure so i am surprised that it has that a layer of white. Then i suspect it could be the surrounding near the object that actually reflects the light? Doesn't make sense that the TG will reflect the light. Wow that ringke case is nice, similar to the one clear case came with FE pre-order. Protection 10/10, but cant fit my bike holder. Because it is glass, if the cut out hole not big enough, might reflect the light back into the len. Mmm maybe u can try, if yours is okay, then it's mine that has problemπ

After a month with S20Fe vs a10s,
1.same battery capacity, but a10s tends to last longer. 2.screen brightness, a10s is brighter and consume less energy. Brightness 5%. 3.heat wise, because S20Fe brightness increase, makes the phone warmer. Brightness set to 10-15% 4.gaming, installed wormzone, S20Fe oftenly behaves erratically due to touch screen issue.
Conclusions, I find the hardwares is lacking for S20Fe, when comparing to Samsung low range a10s. Basically I paid a lot more for faster speed, more ram, storage + 5g, like 5 times more of a10s.
Of course overall S20Fe is nicer to use, with flagship software. But the price is hardly justified. Perhaps because snapdragon.
Next phone I'll try samsung mid range like A71 or A51.

Hmm I dono, the new design looks quite feminine, kind of look likes the movie Alita π. If I'm buying phones now, I'll give this a pass. And I'm also quite disappointed with my s20 fe does not comes with earphone set. A headache to find one wired that is compatible. Samsung boo. This post has been edited by elru: Jan 15 2021, 09:45 AM

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Jan 23 2021, 06:28 PM) It's true that S20+ is better since the price is lower now. Better outlook only imho. But I personally don't like curved screen and will forego it anytime. One thing that I would like to point out is that SD and Exynos do affect photo qualities too. Same model, but different processors will produce different photo qualities. With SD being the better one of course. So no, it doesn't only affect gaming and etc. I do feel the improvement on daily usage myself, and the heating issue is so much more less than the Exynos which makes it really pleasant to use. I know exynos also heats up like crazy whenever you use the camera function a lot after years of using Samsung flagships. Yeah that's true. ++ Exactly my sentiment after moving from s8plus. The heat is really unbearable during the 3rd year, it was trying very hard to keep up. And the pain to get and install TG screen on curve screen. My 2 cents lar π
