How do you guys living in service apartment receive parcels or food deliveries?

For Parcel - Are there people willing to sign parcel receive for you? How do they notify you when there is a parcel received?

For Mails - Do you have your own mailbox?

For Food Deliveries - Do you go down and collect the food or they will come up to your unit to deliver it or you will wait at lobby for the delivery guy to come. Will the guards allow them to just come in to the lobby area?

Nothing changed before and after implementing the MCO. For food delivery, they told me they had to register their name, number and temperature at the guardhouse. I still collect my food at the lobby.

My community, security guard will sign on behalf and keep in their guard post.. Basically if no one collect, all parcel will pass to management office.. as owner didnt take their responsibility to collect on time.. but yes, security guard are the one who sign for residents..

For Mails - Do you have your own mailbox?

Definitely yes.. every single unit/community should have own mailbox for each unit.. posmen will enter to designated area and putting the mail.

For Food Deliveries - Do you go down and collect the food or they will come up to your unit to deliver it or you will wait at lobby for the delivery guy to come. Will the guards allow them to just come in to the lobby area?

depend on your management rules.. for mine, everyone have to come down and collect.. no delivery direct up to the unit for security concerns.. delivery guy may drop or wait for owner.. depend on layout, some service apartment works like condominium, some are hotel lobby like, probably can wait at there.. better refer to your office management for that..

normally should have a SOP guideline for all these by each management.. Myself is the chairman of my community.. so we do have all these guidance provided to security guard.. got few people station at different position and patrol hourly.. so my advise is try to get best answer from your own management..

Do you write up the guidelines when JMB is form or when?

Is the guideline in the form of a noticeboard or how?

I don't live in SA/Condo now but planning too in future

there should be proper SOP in your condo or service apartment on this kind of arrangement.

Recently there are many condo or service apartments using some sort of parcel storage machine on the ground floor, so all the parcel will be delivered and stored there. Then they will send some notice/message to the owner, the owner needs to come to the machine to scan some QR Code to open the locker and take the parcel.

As for food delivery, normally only will be delivered till the ground floor lobby area, owner need to come down to collect.

As for mail, normally must have the mailbox, the owner need to check themselves from time to time.

yea.. we do arrange and manage the noticeboard in every single lifts in service apartment to avoid any argument where owner might said they couldnt see it.. if u stay here, you will use lift and u will see it.. we have it on each lobby as well as management office..

some of the guideline was provided by KPKT. Any other rules approved by JMB will be announce/paste at noticeboard such as no airbnb, fine on smoking, illegal parking with a specific amount..

but regarding to your question related to mail, delivery and parcel.. definitely every serviced apartment do have their own way to handle it.. because not SA built in same layout. but im sure there is a guideline.. probably u have to head to your management office and ask for details.. we're here to give you some tips about how ours works..

i do heard most of cases, no delivery/posmen able to go up to your unit directly.. u must come down and collect or if you are receiving something large size, you also have to come down and bring those delivery guys to send the item.. security guard will not entertain them.. basically ask them to wait owner..

You'll only know when you start moving into your intended condo/serviced residence as different projects have different rules like what the others had mentioned.

For the condo I'm living in, the guardhouse only recently allows parcels to be delivered to them. Previously our management disallows it and insists on the delivery guy to contact the owner to come down to collect it personally.

If you're talking about heavy and/or bulky items such as TV, sofa, bed, etc., then you need to inform the management on when you'll be expecting the item(s) to arrive and fill up a form. Do give a range of a few days to a week in case the transporter is unable to make it on that given day.

As for mail, the mailman will just post it into the unit's respective mailbox which is on the ground floor outside the lift lobby.

For food delivery, the delivery rider will wait at your tower's lobby and you'll have to come down and collect it personally. But like the previous poster above me mentioned, no 'direct to your doorstep' delivery for security reasons.
