may i ask..how to set the phone to display time in sleep mode?

hey guys, i just got a new w610i few days ago(not even a week!) i've been using it these few days and i notice that occasionally the '4' and '6' keys of my phone gets 'hang' (i press the button but nothing comes out on the screen) when im typing messages, especially when i type fast. sometimes even when i exit to standby mode and try to press the buttons, nothing will come out also. but after awhile it gets back to normal. it's not always like that, but it does happen few times a day when i use it and it really annoys the hell out of me. is it normal or some kind of defect? should i go to SE's service centre to get it checked out? will they repair it on the spot if there's any defect? need advice. thanks.

err..just follow the instructions on their website is it? i remember when i first got my phone, when i switched it on, the requested to download updates..but i cancelled it though. will installing these updates on my hp void my warranty? thanks.

edit: just only run 'update service' provided in phone settings. came out a message saying 'your phone has the latest software'
