Guys, I'm planning to get this phone soon but can I know if the chromed buttons will fade? Because it'll be an ugly grey colour if the chrome plating can wear off easily

YES! Bought my new W610i today!

It's plush orange, such a fantastic phone... Thin yet heavy/not too light (I actually prefer phones which are heavy/not too light because they feel more solid), and this W610i gives me a real solid feel to it, a feel of class

Guys, I need help!

My phone's signal bar/strength is going up and down, not stable at all. Sometimes even flat, and "Emergency Calls Only" is shown Is my phone faulty? Or is it firmware related? My version is R1KG001.

No, I'm using Maxis. But can't be the service providers fault because my other phone and my mom's phone no problem, also Maxis

Eh, sure boh? Why my other phones no problem leh? R1KG001, I'm sure of it. The firmware releases date was in April, maybe the early batches (Old stock? )

I'll use a few days, if still continue like this I will send back to the shop. Really cannot stand already, a call comes in and I try to pick up the call, but the moment I touch the phone, line dropped then "Emergency calls only" will show instead of My Maxis

I hold the bottom part when SMSing lo, now the only way for me to pick up a call is to follow "L"'s style... You know the "L" guy from Death Note? I have to hold my phone with just 2 fingers to talk, I'm sure I looked like an idiot

I've contacted him and he told me to try for another day... If the problem persists, I'll have to bring it back to him. Hate it when thing like this happens

Somehow, only W610i (I've used E398/K750i/W800i/W810i/W850i/N70 before) seems to have "reaction" towards my erm... Skin. This can be either a good thing (My skin reflects the radiowaves) or a bad thing (My skin ABSORBS the radiowaves )

So you wanna try L style? Why don't we swapped phones, mine is only a day old

Use the phone upside down? And what... Listen to the mic and talk into the speaker? I don't think that's a good idea

I've included a pic just to show the difference, a K610i with max signal strength while W610i is struggling to manage Both also MAXIS, side by side.

Wow! Cool machines (And what exactly are they? =_="), nice shot This phone's cam is pretty good for daylight snap.

A few models share the same camera module in the 2MP range, so the pics taken are of roughly the same quality. Namely...
K750i === W800i
K550i === W610i
K618i === W660i, no AF for both

But in general, the K-series boast AF which greatly improves picture quality while the W-series uses a cam with fixed focal length. I think the only W-series with autofocus are W610i, W800i, W810i, W900i and W960i

When I change my SIM card, ALL my settings in my phone also reset!... It even brought up the demo Yours only MMS settings reset?

W610i and W810i are the same function wise... But W610i is newer, slimmer, faster, and... Walkman 2.0 rocks I won't get a W810i, unless it's a white. White W810i is kinda cool

Too bad they didn't release W610i in white... But white colour has it's own problems. It looks cool when the phone is new, when it starts to become yellowish......

Guys, need some opinion here... I sent my W610i for warranty about 1 month plus (Coming to 2 months) ago but it's still not back. The seller told me it's a faulty IC which causes the weak signal problem and is still being repaired

I told him I'm tired of waiting and he offered to swap me a LG KG800 limited red wine edition with no extra cost, Zitron set. Should I take the offer? I have no idea how much is W610i and KG800 worth right now

Any opinions are greatly welcomed, thanks!
