Begin reputable companies, they can be consider as no scam. However, once you go for wither one, you get locked into their eco system. They control everything from labor to part prices. You cannot buy any after market part, most likely, and the part are on expensive side considering the cost to manufacture. The filter probably as good as other good 3rd party brand in market out there.
