Hi everyone,
Hope this is the correct thread to post.
My Redmi 5 plus been acting weird recently.
App button will not respond sometimes, need to press few times.
But the main issue now is yesterday, i notice my home screen (the first page of your screen) is flashing/refreshing in intervals of about 1 seconds+
All my app icon buttons has no response after i press it, and the home screen continue to refresh/flash
I try to press multiple times on Google Play store - manage to go in if lucky
I try to swipe my phone multiple times, as it show next page app icons, just first row, it stops, and go back home screen.
Bottom middle button (the system UI button - not the hardware button) and long press it, can go google search
Drop down pull down menu from above for setting etc- can function
Just the home screen now considered stucked
Any solutions? Will update the system clear this issue?
I tried remove sim card & sd card, and reinsert...still same I tried reboot or turn off, still same I tried clear cache - still same
Thanks.

QUOTE(arefiq09 @ May 14 2020, 01:12 PM) I am using Redmi 5 Plus as well, it is still working fine albeit getting slower. Are you perhaps using any Theme? If so, try removing it and use default one. My MIUI is already updated to latest. No themes, all default I just updated to miui 11 - still same issue

QUOTE(abu.shofwan @ May 14 2020, 06:19 PM) Did you install any app recently? It doesn't seem likely, but may be your phone got injected/infected with some trojan, virus, mining bot, etc... If so, maybe to uninstall and see what happes. Last resort, maybe a factory reset will clear the issue. Another option, maybe try installing a different launcher (app) can fix the issue, since launcher basically takes over your home screen? not sure what app recently installed, but definitely uninstalled coz those app i find useless ok, will try install some different launcher...any recommendation?

Ok nvm. Installed POCO launcher...works alrite now...no more refreshing crap but if i chosse back the system launcher, the issue remains. i guess the system launcher app is corrupted anyway to manually reinstall the system launcher?
